The Colorado Rockies have started out slowly for the 2009 season. Already the Rox have dropped to last place in the NL West, 4 and ½ games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Rockies have seen some good things early though, including a strong start by newcomer Jason Marquis, who has held on strong to his rotation spot. The Rockies do seem to be missing the power bat in the lineup, due to the departure of Matt Holliday to the Oakland Athletics. With the only place to go but up, hopefully the Rockies can find a way to turn things around. The team has a lot of fresh new faces, as well as some veterans. The lineup has remained similar to the 2007 World Series lineup, with repeats including Troy Tulowitzki and Brad Hawpe. Wait for the Rockies to fix their mistakes early and make a charge and try to recapture the NL West once again.
