The Denver Nuggets came into the 1st round of the NBA playoffs with a higher seed than normal, and are capitalizing. With the number 2 seed, the Nuggets have smoked the New Orleans Hornets in the first 2 games, winning both by double digits. The team has seen great play from “new comer” from the beginning of the season and team leader Chauncey Billups. If only MVP voting was after the playoffs, Chauncey may have had an outside shot. Winning the 1st 2 games at home was huge for the Nugs, who now look for a sweep in the best of seven series which travels to New Orleans. Denver fans have been excited so far to see their home team doing so well, something not common for them when it comes around to this time of year. If they Nuggets can finish the series strong, they will have another tough battle awaiting them with the winner of the Portland-Houston series, a series that will not be easy.
