Triple Homicide

On May 7th in Columbia, Illinois police found the dead bodies of Sheri Coleman, 31, and her two boys Garret, 11, and Gavin, 9, in their bedrooms of their two story home in a suburb. The police think it looks like they were strangled. The killings shocked about 10,000 residents of the suburb. Police say they believe they know who killed them, but don’t want to say until they have a strong forensic case, more documents, reports, and interviews. Jeff Conner of the Major Case Squad said "We don't have a warrant for his arrest at this time, so we don't feel it would be prudent to give his name out until the state's attorney determines whether or not there's enough to charge him." Conner also said that there were threatening things said in the home, but doesn’t want to share the exact wording. According to Conner, Christopher Coleman, father and husband of the family, left the house at 5:43 a.m. and drove to the gym to work out and then after he left he started calling to “make sure the kids were up and getting ready for school.” He realized no one was answering and on his way back at about 6:50 a.m. is when he made the call to the Police Department. Police are still deciding whether or not to press charges against the certain suspect.
