GI... No

Adventurous, cunning, funny, action-packed, and all of the other qualities that make a good movie describes “G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra”, or at least its commercials. I’m not sure if it was some sick joke on the director’s part or if maybe in the editing but all the good scenes seem to have gotten deleted. Somehow, director Stephen Sommers managed to turn the small boy’s past-time (whose childhood past time? I never played with GI Joes… maybe find a different word) into an unfunny comedy.

James McCullen, a double-crossing Irish weapons merchant who fights the G.I. Joes (an elite military group) over nanotechnology that belongs to the U.S. The movie has every thing that the old comics had in them, just diluted over two time-wasting hours. I guess G.I. Joe was all that can be expected of a movie with a plot pulled from a long dead T.V. show, but I wish I hadn’t seen all the interesting parts in the commercial.
