After a week of searching by more than 200 volunteers, the body of five-year-old Shaniya Davis was finally recovered.

The kidnapping charge was dropped for Clarence Coe, who was arrested Thursday for being possibly connected, but not from Mario Andrette McNeill, who was arrested after hotel video surveillance captured him with a small child on the day the girl was reported missing.

A new development, however, has seen the girl's mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, arrested as well. Police have charged her with human trafficking, or prostituting her daughter, and other offenses.

As of now, this is as far as authorities have come, but the volunteers who found Shaniya and the police working dilligently to solve this disgusting crime have high hopes.
