Palin Blasts Allies in New Book

By Bri Castellini, Commentary and Web Editor

If Republicans thought former Alaska governer Sarah Palin's new book, Going Rogue, would reinforce the unity in the GOP, they were wrong.

Much of the book is spent blasting the McCain campaign managers, such as Steve Schmidt, who quoted, "it's all fiction", according to Politico.com.

Palin discusses her outrage when the many managers cracked down on her appearance, her speaking privelages, and even eventually her diet. From her book; "I'm a forty-four year old, healthy, athletic woman raising five kids and governing a large state, I thought as his words faded into a background buzz. Sir, I really don't know you yet. But you've told me how to dress, what to say, who to talk to, a lot of people not to talk to, who my heroes are supposed to be and we're still losing. Now you're going to tell me what to eat?

It remains to be seen how this book will effect the Republican party, but one thing is for sure; Sarah Palin's influence is a force to be reckoned with.
