Making a batch of French toast is one of the easiest meals in my opinion. There are a few simple steps but one must not miss a step or the delectable dish will not come out right.
First of all, one needs to choose the type of bread they would like to use. This white bread is a classic for this dish but for a healthier option, whole wheat would be a nice choice. Also, if the cook wants to be creative, bakeries such as great harvest sell breads such as cinnamon burst bread which would also be a very delicious choice. Many types of bread would work for this, so we can leave it up to the cook to decide their personal preferences.
The ingredients for this are simple, all one needs is a few eggs, vanilla, milk, bread, and cinnamon. Most people have these on hand in pantries because most recipes call for them. All one needs to do is crack the eggs in a bowl and add one teaspoon of vanilla, three cups of milk, and a few shakes of the cinnamon powder. Once the mixture is mixed with a fork or whisk, the toast is ready to be prepared.
Dip both sides of the bread into the mixture then place it on a hot and greased pan. Once each side of the bread is browned, the toast is cooked and ready to serve with one’s favorite condiments.
The French toast can be served with applesauce on top, just added cinnamon or powdered sugar to the top of it, or classically add butter and a favorite fruity syrup. For creative eaters, adding fruit might spice up the meal as well. This dish is well suited for any age and can be enjoyed with a cold juice or cup of milk.
