What the Pope?

The Pope seems to be in charge of a lot and seems to know what is going on at all times. Even though Pope Benedict was aware of many sexual assaults he did nothing to solve or prevent these happenings.

One particular instance the Pope allowed a priest to resume pastoral duties after being accused of molesting a child. However the Pope did have the priest take therapy. That was back in the 1980s before the same priest committed more sexual abuse crimes.

More evidence has turned up as well. Two boys who attended a boarding school that the Popes own brother, Monsignor Ratzinger, claimed Ratzinger abused them. Ratzinger did confess to these claims and apologized for his actions.

Archbishop Zollitsch said that the Pope was deeply moved and upset by all the abuse going on within the churches.

Even though the Pope is upset about the scandals more and more evidence keeps appearing.

“Every day I receive e-mails from around the world from people who have been abused,” said Thomas Pfister “There has been a very big silence. Now they want to have a voice”.

Because these abuse scandals have cut close to the Pope himself it slowly undermines his power.

No one knows what will happen to the Pope as more and more scandals appear. Hopefully the Pope will be able to fix this problem before it grows even more
